Kislak Team of Holland and Wolf Arrange Exclusive Sale of 100 Units in Capital City
Woodbridge, N.J., May 11, 2020 – The Kislak Company, Inc. announced the recent sale of Mulberry Station Apartment Homes, a 100-unit apartment complex in downtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, for $12,100.000. The property is located at 200 South Court Street.
Kislak marketed the property on an exclusive basis with president Robert Holland and vice president Matt Wolf handing the assignment. They also procured the purchaser.
“We received a tremendous amount of interest and offers given the lack of supply in the central Pennsylvania market,” said Mr. Wolf. “The purchaser is very excited to increase his presence in the Harrisburg market and this an excellent opportunity for him to obtain a second local property.”
Built in 1987, the two buildings, just steps from the Susquehanna river, feature 20 one-bedroom, 60 two-bedroom and 20 three-bedroom units – 45% of which had interior upgrades to kitchens and bathrooms in 2019. Kitchens are outfitted with stainless steel sinks, electric stove/oven combos, dishwashers, garbage disposals and laminate countertops. All apartments also feature individual washer/dryer and HVAC units, along with private balconies.
Other amenities include keyed entry with intercom, private entrances, attached two-car garages or carports, additional storage, on-site maintenance and management, and landscaped courtyard with grilling stations.
The property, within walking distance of the business district and government center of Harrisburg, the capital city of Pennsylvania, is just blocks from major employers and healthcare facilities such as Pinnacle Health – Harrisburg Campus Hospital. Nearby, Hershey Park, Amish Village, the Strasburg Railroad, Lancaster farms and markets, museums and symphony orchestras attract visitors and residents alike.
While the property is less than 5 miles from Routes 76 and 81 and Capital City Airport, within Harrisburg the Capital Area Transit system operates an extensive bus and paratransit service system in the city’s metropolitan area, also covering much of the southern and eastern halves of Dauphin and Cumberland counties surrounding it.
Mr. Holland joined Kislak in 1984, became President in 2012, and is one of the firm’s all-time leading sales producers. In addition to overseeing the company and managing a team of salespeople, he specializes in the sale of multifamily and other investment properties.
Mr. Wolf joined Kislak in 2017, following over a decade of success in the commercial real estate industry focused on multifamily and other investment sales transactions in central and eastern Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member and also holds a Pennsylvania broker’s license.
