Kislak Announces 2015 Sales Awards

WOODBRIDGE, N.J. — The Kislak Company, Inc. announced the recipients of its 2015 sales awards at the firm’s annual awards ceremony, which was held at Il Castello’s in Woodbridge, New Jersey.

Senior vice president Matt Weilheimer received the Producer of the Year award, vice president Barry Waisbrod received the Sima Kislak Jelin Salesperson of the Year award, and sales associate Justin Lupo received the Rookie of the Year Award.

“We are extremely proud to recognize Matt, Barry and Justin as the recipients of our 2015 sales awards,” said Robert Holland, president. “2015 was an extraordinary and record-setting year for Kislak both in terms of the number of transactions closed and our sales volume. Matt and Barry each had an amazing year, and Justin is one of our most promising young salespeople. I thank them and our entire team for their efforts and congratulate them on their well-deserved awards.”

Kislak’s Producer of the Year award is presented to the individual who generated the highest sales volume during the past year. This was Weilheimer’s second such award having also won it in 2010. He joined Kislak in 1996 and is consistently among the firm’s leading salespeople.

In 2015, Weilheimer completed 17 transactions in New Jersey and Pennsylvania totaling more than $110,000,000. Among them was the $35,200,000 sale of Jamestowne Village Apartments, a 338-unit apartment complex in Toms River, New Jersey. The sale was the single largest sale of a multifamily property in Ocean County, New Jersey since 2011 according to data available from CoStar.

The Sima Kislak Jelin Salesperson of the Year award is presented to the individual whose performance and professionalism during the past year demonstrated the highest standards of excellence for which Kislak is known.  The recipient is chosen by a vote of the sales and management teams. The award is named after the late Mrs. Jelin, who was an executive, key mentor, and motivator to countless salespeople; and the daughter of the firm’s founder, J.I. Kislak.  

This was Waisbrod’s second win after also receiving the award in 2013. Waisbrod joined Kislak in 2001 and is also consistently among the firm’s leading salespeople.

In 2015, Weilheimer and Waisbrod worked together to complete the $27,300,000 sale of Inverness Apartments, 368-unit apartment complex in Westville, New Jersey; and the $15,561,360 sale of a 114,200 square foot medical office in Kearny, New Jersey.

Kislak’s Rookie of the Year award is presented to a newer salesperson who recorded the greatest achievements during the past year.

Lupo joined Kislak in 2014 and specializes in the sale of multifamily and other investment properties throughout eastern Pennsylvania.  His 2015 transactions included the $6,550,000 sale of Croydon Station Apartments, 93 units in Croydon, Pennsylvania. Waisbrod and Lupo represented both parties in the transaction. Lupo also co-represented the seller in the $1,685,000 sale of a 38-unit apartment property in Trenton, New Jersey.
